As the team has been out and about this week, today has been interesting as we have for the first time been able to review progress of our facial embellishments under one roof.
We have a veritable smorgasbord of stages and styles as you will see from our picture. Stephen has gone for the classic ‘Chevron’ look, Gavin is aiming to be our Mo’ Top Gun by channelling his inner Goose and Dave and Chris so far going for a fuller facial appendage in the style increasingly favoured by some of European football's elite, such as Andrea Pirlo, Arda Turan and Xabi Alonso. When asked who his facial hair style icon is, Dave commented that he particularly likes what Atletico Madrid stalwart Arda Turan is currently doing, commenting on the “full bodied appearance” of his facial hair and particularly liking the way it “glistens under the floodlights”.
The guys have found the experience to date to be fairly cathartic – the feeling of getting back to nature and embracing their masculinity prevalent in the group. Indeed, when brainstorming activities for our next team building session earlier this week, suggestions included rock climbing and white water rafting, as opposed to the usual itinerary of lunch followed by a visit to the Apple store.
Special mention should be given to Stacy at this point, who, not wanting to feel left out, contributed the picture above to this article. Surely her determination to be a part of our Movember campaign is worth a tenner in itself!
As mentioned last week, we’re doing this for a great cause. Erskine Hospital has been caring for Scotland's veterans since 1916. Its core role is to provide nursing care for elderly veterans in five specialist homes across Scotland but the charity also offers support, housing and employment opportunities to veterans of all ages. If you could spare a few quid towards our fundraising efforts we would very much appreciate it. It’s really easy to donate, just click here
Check in next week for another instalment of the Mo’ diaries.
