Role

An excellent opportunity for the right, motivated individual to join a team with a unique culture, this role of Graduate Copywriter and Editorial Assistant will allow you to put your experience to great use and develop your career within an exciting and passionate environment.

Reporting to the Head of Legal Content marketing, the role involves:

  • Writing copy about the law
  • Writing relevant news copy
  • Understanding our clients’ brand personalities and the legal services they offer
  • Structuring and editing content for SEO
  • Assisting senior writers and editors with tasks such as content uploading and formatting

A full training program around understanding how great copy wins great business will be provided, and you will have opportunities to work on a wide range of content projects.

 Main Responsibilities

 Any or all of the following, based on the needs of the editorial team:

  • Writing content on behalf of our clients in the legal sector to specified deadlines, with correct legal analysis and clear writing style
  • Assisting senior writers and editors with tasks such as content uploading and formatting
  • Self-management of priorities and workload
  • Covering a wide range of topics and legal areas tailored to client specialisms
  • Collaborating with clients to create interesting and engaging content strategies
  • Communicating with senior editors and clients to receive, and respond to, feedback on work done

Mandatory Skills and Experience

  • Ability to clearly and concisely analyse and write about legal issues and concepts in a logical fashion
  • Excellent grammar, spelling and general editorial skills
  • Good communicator
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Able to work on own initiative in a team environment
  • IT literate

Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Broad knowledge of the law and legal writing
  • Copywriting experience preferred but not essential
  • Understanding of SEO
  • Understanding of digital marketing
