Thanks to your generosity we are half way to reaching our target of £500 at the half way stage of our month long fundraising efforts.
We are now at the point of no return. Our motto this week has been "Be Brave - Don't Shave" as we move through that awkward second week stage during which our facial embellishments are neither stubble nor the finished article.
Dave has moved through the itchy stage which was causing him considerable anguish last week and has even been complimented on his new look. Indeed, he is now even considering the 'upside down head' look as a permanent feature. Others have not fared quite so well with Chris (unfairly in his considered opinion) being described as "untidy" and as having "bumfluff". Stephen now has the shape but awaits body, while 'Wing Commander' Ward is quietly cultivating a look of some distinction and gravitas.
For anybody who doesn't know, we're doing this for a great cause. Erskine Hospital has been caring for Scotland's veterans since 1916. Its core role is to provide nursing care for elderly veterans in five specialist homes across Scotland but the charity also offers support, housing and employment opportunities to veterans of all ages. If you could spare a few quid towards our fundraising efforts we would very much appreciate it. It's really easy to donate, just click here.
Check in next week for another instalment of the Mo' diaries.
